Series Spotlight - Antony Densham

Antony is a painter from New Zealand, whose textural abstractions represent the highly diverse landscape of the country he lives in. He has developed a visual language that embraces the ephemeral, living in a country with spectacular glaciers, picturesque fiords, rugged mountains, vast plains, rolling hillsides, subtropical forests and volcanoes.

As a meditator for over 30 years, the artist is incredibly grateful for this and says, ‘slowing down, re-looking, coming back to, helps to internalise a landscape and a painting practice.”
