Be Inspired - Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year is celebrated by cultures across the world and marks the first new moon of the lunisolar calendar and this year it falls on February 1st, bringing in the year of the tiger in the Chinese Zodiac. The tiger is the third zodiac sign, having come third in the ‘Great Race’ tale, the origin story of the order of the zodiac animals. People born in a year of the Tiger are, like their eponymous zodiac sign, believed to be strong, brave, ambitious but also stubborn and arrogant. Previous years include 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010.  Celebrate this Lunar New Year with our stylish and varied collection featuring fierce tigers, iconic locations and classic Asian artworks.

This collection includes both celebratory symbols like the shou symbol for longevity or oranges, common New Year gifts of luck, and traditional art-styles like embroidery, bird-and-flower art and the yin and yang phoenix and dragon, hopefully bringing plenty of luck and prosperity into the new year.

Happy Lunar New Year!
