Series Spotlight - Simon O'Connell

Simon O’Connell paints atmospheric landscapes and seascapes. With artistic influences including the Old Masters, French Impressionism and the colour field paintings of Mark Rothko, Simon's paintings depict scenes for the viewer to admire and enjoy; beautiful landscapes, inspirational coastal views and dramatic skies.

Inspired by a love of the outdoors and travelling, Simon draws on distant coastlines, sunlight dancing on the sea, the golden hour before sunset, with a thread of romanticism running through his work.
